What is Cask Studio?
Two native Mac apps under one subscription. Cask Film is the video editor: an endless Storyboard canvas, generation inside it, and a multi-track Montage timeline. Cask Flow is the motion graphics app: type, paths and a camera in 2D and 2.5D. Both connect to your agent through Cask MCP. Both draw from the same credits.
What is free and what costs money?
Cask Film is free to keep. The Storyboard, the Montage, preview, export and Cask MCP come with no plan, so agentic editing through Claude or Codex costs nothing. Sign up before 10 October and Cask Flow is free for 3 months on every plan. It stays on any paid plan. Generation runs on credits, on a paid plan. Cask AI is in limited preview on paid plans.
How do credits work?
Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance that generation draws from. At default resolution, a minute of Seedance video is about 900 credits, a minute of Kling about 1,100, and a Nano Banana still about 10. That puts Starter at roughly 3 minutes of video or 250 stills a month, Hobbyist at 7 minutes or 650 stills, and Creator at 16 minutes or 1,400 stills. Premium models cost more credits per generation. Cheaper models cost less, so drafts are cheap and premium credits go on final shots. Plans also differ in how many generations run at once.
What are Cask AI and Cask MCP?
Cask MCP connects Cask Film and Cask Flow to Claude, Codex and any other MCP client, so you can work on a project from the tool you already use. It is on every plan, including Free. Cask AI is our own assistant inside the app, in limited preview on paid plans.
